Hi

My boys are not little any more but yet I found the need for this paper called "Little Boys"  why?  who
knows, maybe I miss them being little but I definitely enjoy them more big... we have so much fun together, singing, laughing, making fun of each other, teasing their dad (yeh, we pick on him pretty heavy but he loves us).

I used the current sketch from Deconstructed Sketch No. 95

I really like this paper..... it's fun, it's funky... but it's so dang difficult to use on a project because it's so out there.  I saw a card on facebook using the negative cut that looked like a sun, but I don't have that cut so I went with this one from the Paper Lace cartridge

Yep, we are currently smack dab in the middle of Spring Break here in Northwest Arkansas.  So far we my niece visiting from Missouri, we have celebrated my youngest sons's birthday, my older son is off celebrating one of his best friends birthdays, and we are going to go camping/biking/hiking as well!  We'll have to go back to work just to get some rest ;-)

Well Autumn (my niece, she's 11) and I played around a little last night but we got really silly really quickly so we shut it down before we hurt ourselves or others.  Yes there could have been a giggle fit or two.

For these cards we used the current sketch from The Sweet Shop: SSS202 with a spin of "Sping"

this stamp cracks me up!  I received it as a freebie with my Stamper's Best order that came yesterday... of course I loved the stamps that I chose, but this one I didn't pick & never would have but I seriously love it... so much fun!

I used The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS201 for this one but changed it up just a little turning what appears to be ribbon & a button into the bandanna strip and the star.

thank you

I tripped across the current color combo challenge from Pals Paper Arts #154 and really wanted to use it, not because it's a color combo that I regularly go to but it's so eye catching. The color combo is Raspberry Ripple, Calypso Coral, and Crumb Cake... unfortunately I'm completely out of Crumb Cake so I found a close substitute!

Sketch is from Just Us Girls Challenge #178, which I changed up just a little by removing the horizontal band & adding the bling strips

Floral Wall Hanging (a tutorial)

Hello!  I was sweetly asked to be Crop Chocolate's Guest Designer for March using a Nature theme... which I LOVE, total Nature freak here.  First I'm showing off my finished product... TaDah!

I am so thrilled with it that it is hanging in my living room

Products Needed:
11x13 Canvas
Tattered Angles Chalkboard in Fern & London Fog
Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist in Frost
Elastic edging cut from an old sheet
Fancy Pants Doodles & Things Stamp Set
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Forest Moss
Large Brass Plated Fasteners (from office supply section of store)
Making Memories Piercer
Making Memories Ribbon in Celery
Ranger Industries Liquid Pearls in White Opal

Step 1: from bottom edge of Canvas spray in an upward direction using Tattered Angles Chalkboard in Fern, then spraying straight onto middle of Canvas using Tattered Angle Chalkboard in Lodon Fog, last from top edge of Canvas spray in an upward direction using Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist in Frost. Set aside to dry.  Sorry I didn't have anybody to take a picture of me doing this, I looked fabulous tho ;-)

Step 2: Using elastic cut from old sheet, roll until you have the desired size, then sew into place. Create 5 fabric flowers.

Step 3: Attach small Stem from Fancy Pants Doodles & Things Stamp Set to block, ink up using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Forest Moss & stamp directly onto Canvas, repeat using larger Stem stamp. Set aside to dry.

Step 4: Insert Brass Plated Fastener into each fabric flower. Using Making Memories Piercer, create holes in Canvas close to stamped stems & insert Fastener thru, folding backs completely over on back side of Canvas.

Step 5: Using MM Piercer, create 2 holes (one of each side of stem) at desired location, using Making Memories Ribbon in Celery, sew from front to back, tie knot & trim to desired lengths.  Repeat.

Step 6: Apply a liberal amount of Liquid Pearls to centers of flowers to cover up Brass Plated Fastener completely.  Allow to dry.

I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial.  Please let me know if you have any questions at all!
